In order to break new ground efficiently, we question the given, analyze processes and rethink. We develop stringent concepts, speak a clear design language that conveys inspiring content. Thanks to our agile core team and our broad network, we are able to implement specific, individual requirements creatively and on time.
At the beginning of each project we listen, ask targeted questions and analyze in close cooperation with our customers which specific requirements are to be realized. In addition, we advise which technologies are needed for the implementation.
During concept development, our main focus is on the question: What is the most efficient way to achieve the desired goal? With tactical planning, transparent management and creative thinking, we create customized, innovative and future-oriented solutions.
For us, the two components of design and development go hand in hand. We create holistic designs, communicate clear brand identities and focus on a strategically sensible approach for a precisely fitting project realization.
We develop versatile, with many years of experience. We adapt the development environments, channels and media we use to the customer-specific project requirements. This is how we realize precise and convincing results.

Our cozy office space is located in the middle of greenery, in the old mill of Rheydt Castle, the oldest Renaissance castle in North Rhine-Westphalia. The mill was first mentioned in 1256 in a deed of endowment from Gerhard von Heppendorf, Vogt zu Köln. In the course of time it was used as an oil mill, grain mill, fulling mill and paper mill. Today, instead of the mill wheel, everything revolves around digitization, art and culture.
In addition to its great location, our studio offers inspiring, interdisciplinary and future-oriented collaboration, the use of new and innovative technologies, and open & modern structures.

We continue to develop, adapt, upgrade and take responsibility. For the implementation of our work, we strive to act in a way that conserves resources. With 20 years of experience and passion in design fields such as product, print, web, app, game, interaction and exhibit design Jannis Kilian Kreft views design and development as an interdisciplinary, holistic process.
This approach is shown in his audiovisual installations and interactive media exhibits. In his work he unites different design disciplines such as conception, design, programming and construction to create stunning interactive media installations and audiovisual performances.
Jannis Kilian Kreft worked on more then 80 interactive installations, apps, games and exhibits for renowned clients around the world and won numerous design-prices.
Jannis Kilian Kreft worked as a designer at DaimlerChrysler before he continued his professional career in international design studios such as Method Inc. San Francisco, Art+Com AG Berlin, Meso GmbH Frankfurt am Main, Studio Kreft Frankfurt am Main and focus4 GmbH Olching.
In 2015, Jannis became CEO/Managing Director of focus4 GmbH in Olching. He led the company to success before leaving focus4 GmbH in 2018 and moving to Frankfurt am Main, where he became partner and managing director of madhat GmbH in Offenbach am Main. Jannis worked for clients such as Accenture, Audi, BMW, Webasto, IBM, Grundig and more before Jannis ended his collaboration with madhat at the end of 2020.
In 2022, Jannis founded mbnt GmbH in Mönchengladbach together with Anne Schymura.
Since 20 years Jannis Kilian Kreft is also working as a teacher and has taught media design and media development at the universities KH-Kassel, FH-Sachsen-Anhalt, HFG Halle / Burg Giebichenstein, Muthesius Kunsthochschule Kiel, HFG Offenbach and the University RheinMain Wiesbaden.
With her keen understanding of materials, surfaces, spatial typology and communication in space, Anne Schymura manages to go beyond pure interior design and think about physical space in combination with digital media. This creates unique environments that make space come alive and convey information in a special way.
She completed her Master of Arts in interior design in Wiesbaden in 2020. During her studies, she is gaining agency experience and has already won various competitions.
In 2022, together with Jannis Kilian Kreft, she founded mbnt GmbH, based in Mönchengladbach. Anne takes care of tasks related to spatial communication and works both as a designer and project manager.
